A Gift Revolution Story.

Tonight(Friday), my brother and I usually go to a weekly car show at tower shops, its our time to spend quality time, and to also unwind from the week, and to also kind of get ready for the weekend. This weekend Mickel,Ariel, my friends Vince,Felicia and I went to Starbucks on Griffin and University DR. after the car show to hang out.

Well we decided to do a kind of routine GIFT REVOLUTION. We explained to the cashier what to do and then found a table inside. We could see the register from where we were sitting, and overheard the Cashier telling the person who was being gifted that:

" This is a gift for you, someone has given you a gift by paying for your coffee tonight"

He then gave her the CARD and said,

"This is called the gift revolution, its a cool movement that has caught on. The site is really cool, and you can go and document you receiving your gift, or also you giving someone else a gift. Its really awesome, you arent obligated to look at it, but its worth it." said the cashier.

We all thought that this was soooooo cool, that a stranger would know about the gift revolution.com and explain the whole thing to the customer!!! IT WAS SOO AWESOME.

Muvico Evacuation

This past weekend Ariel,my cuz Jordan, and I went to Muvico to see Eagle Eye. We ended seeing some other stupid movie that wasnt very good at all. While we were watching it the fire alarms went off and we all had to evacuate. Mind you that it was a Friday night so it was PACKED!Everyone was then trying to get to guest service to get there money back, so the front of the building got really really crowded. The reason we all had to evacuate was a water main break on the other side of the theater. I also heard that it happened again on Saturday night.

This past Wednesday I had the opportunity to do lighting for FRCA chapel.Nothing to serious programming wise. The kids really enjoyed it, and also the parents also enjoyed it because the lighting and other small elements created the environment for worship.

I don't mind doing it for the kids because they are the next generation of leaders, pastors, etc... I think they are just as important as any other thing that happens at FRC. These chapels and the education these kids receive at FRCA changes there live.The parents who also come to chapel might also be going through some rough times, and coming to that chapel with there kids gets them focused on GOD, and they can be reminded that God is in control, and also has the capability to change lives. I love to be a part of LIFE Change, no matter what age.

On Sept. 18th which was yesterday, one of my good friends was freaking out. Apparently one of her friends that I dont know passed away in a fatal car crash. While comforting her I realized how uncertain our lives on this earth are, and also that one day all of us will not be here, and we wont know when its our time to go. We must not take our loved ones for granted, they can be here one day and gone the next, and so can we.
Also, we have such a short time, its our duty as Christians to tell people about Christ, to let GOD work through us to change lives for Him. So that they can experience the joy and peace that HE has to offer, and eternity with HIM. We must be the example for others around us. We must let God's light shine through us.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mark 16:15-16

Please pray for my friend, that God will be with her and comfort her.

Some of you may not know but,I have been volunteering with LIGHTING at the Cooper City for some time now, I think from the beginning of this year is when I started. After months of learning and learning and hard work I was given the opportunity to program lighting and do a bit of Lighting Design this week for the Friend Day weekend at Cooper City Campus Flamingo Road Church. Its a great opportunity and I am sooo thankful that I can do it. Yoel which is the Lighting Director at the Cooper City campus has taught me so much, and really became a really good friend, and I hope to continue to learn more from him, well if he is willing lol.

So yeah I got to show a bit of my creativity for this weekend. So check it out!Everything is for HIS Glory!

A weekend at FRC

So this weekend I became lighting director at FRC Cooper Campus for this weekend.Yoel was out of town so he put me in charge of the lighting. I also did some of the programming for this weekend. Things got a little crazy sometime, but everything went pretty smooth .This weekend was the first time that I did Lighintg by myself all weekend without Yoel being there.. I have done it by myself for one or 2 services here and there. Doing lighting this was really the highlight of my weekend. Sorry no pics, I was to busy doing lighting. lol, But it was pretty good. " YOEL, I am going to say it again. You have an awesome job."

Martin's MAC 2000 wash and MAC 2000 wash XB played an important role on lighting the stage for the opening and closing ceremonies. about 1,100 of these Martin Fixtures to sum it up.This was the Largest "Martin" rig ever. Also the largest automated lighting system ever for one event.

So this is how they pulled off these effects for the 2008 Olympics Ceremony with lighting,LED screens,projectors, etc...

Said to be the largest, costliest extravaganza in Olympic history, the ceremony was watched by 91,000 people at Beijing's National Stadium and a potential audience of 4 billion worldwide, according to the Associated Press. Approximately 15,000 people reportedly participated in the pageantry, which celebrated China's first-time role as Olympic host by dramatizing 5,000 years of the country's history.

120 XPe-based media servers from High End Systems (HES) were installed in the National Stadium's server room -- the largest number ever used for any live event. Linked to HES Wholehog 3 lighting consoles and projectors with moving orbital heads, the Axon Media Servers helped pull off the opening ceremony's special effects in real time.

Training AGAIN!!!

So peoples, I have decided that I am going to train in martial arts again. After being out of it for a couple years I have realized that I really miss it. Some of you may not know this but I am a 1st degree BLACKBELT with leadership status in the style of SONGHAM TAEKWONDO, but I am thinking about trying something new. My thoughts are to maybe finish Krav MAGA, which is the fighting style the Israeli military train their soldiers in. I did start training in Krav maga to be an instructor, but had to stop because I had to go back to Trinidad when my parent split, but I am ready to start again. I am going to start training at home and then maybe jump back into the ring.

I finally saw the ALL NEW Nissan Skyline GTR 2009....they have finally brought this car to the US from Japan as it was previously to powerful to sell to US consumers, but now they have finally allowed this car in!!!!

Extremely powerful, and very hard to get your hands on. There are only 2 in all of south florida, and this is one of them.

Not all depressed!/ New Lights

So i am out of my little depressed mood for the most part. I am just giving it all to GOD, and whatever he wants to do with me is just fine.!! Infact its not just fine its great!!

I just got these New headlights for my car. They are call H.I.Ds which stands for High Intensity Discharge. They are 3x brighter than the regular lights, and looks so awesome,both on the car and the light on the road. Here are some pics.I am also selling them. I imported some of these kits from Japan. They are so sick.

Infact my headline pic here on my blog is a pic i took on 4th of july when I put these HIDs in just the headlights and not in the bottom fogs yet.

So leave me some feedback! so I dont get bored blogging and only blog once a month like some people.**cough cough***

Need to talk, so why not blog it.
I dont know whats wrong with me lately, i've been going through alot, and thinking alot. I have lots of ideas but I feel like I cant express them. I dont know if you are following me? I am so ready. I want to be a part of something great. Something that changes live, and right now i feel like i can do more for Christ. I dont really have many other talents than with technology to extent. I was supposed to go to SAE(school of audio engineering), but it didnt work out because of financial reasons. So I honestlty don't know...
After seeing that Hillsong DVD tonight I know I want to do something in ministry,Lighting, Audio, recording. I am just so ready to dive in and devote my life to reaching others for God.

So this is why I kind of been quiet with people. So dont take it personal. Just a lot going on in my mind right now.

So...
It is now 3:23 am on Friday morning. I just got back from seeing the first showing at MUVICO of "THE DARK KNIGHT". All i have to say is amazing. Thats all i am going to say because you need to see it and i dont want to give any of it away! I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also they had Anti Piracy officaials walking around
the theaters checking if anyone was recording with video cams. It was pretty crazy.

Well I change the oil in my car after it starts to smell burnt and loses its viscosity. I usually gather a few oil changes stored in my garage and then take all the used motor oil to be recycled, which is then used to make synthetic motor oils and other oils. Well a certain person in my family decided to throw the oil in the trash can to be picked up by regular waste management truck. I tried telling him that its bad for the earth and that every little bit counts these days(we kinda fought on it,lol).When he told me he did that I got really heated.I don't know how someone can do that after all the media coverage about going green and helping our planet. I know its not a big deal to some. Probably a few years ago I would'nt care where the oil went, but in these days we have to take care of our planet, God's creation.

I've gotten kinda down lately. Business has dropped to rock bottom. No sales this week even with all the advertising. I've been praying and trying to trust God, but its so hard. I've been saying over and over in my head "My God is the God that provides."
Pray that God will help me and provide a way. I think a part-time or full time job is in the future for right now . If you have any hook ups let me know.

Tonight at Flamingo Road Church, we had the most AWESOME worship, especially at the 6:30pm service. When the worship team sang STAND, you can feel God's Presence in the room. It was awesome and powerful, and I am sure many others felt the same way. People had hands lifted and eyes on GOD. It was amazing to see. Also there was an amazing, intense energy tonight at FRC. People stood up and started getting into the praise and really getting excited for Christ.Big ups to the Worship team tonight. All I can say is that it was Awesome...I dont know how else to describe the worship, but if you were there, I know you know what I am talking about.

Today i was at FRC while Yoel was programming. He is training me in everything with the lights so i know what i am doing lol, I love doing the lights!!. Being there during the day made me realize that i wouldnt mind working for a church or even FRC. Its a Christian environment with Christian people who are all awesome. There jobs at FRC all make an impact in the world that changes lives for Christ. That is HUGE!!!!!! When i was about 6 or 7 a preacher professed that when i was older i would be deeply involved in ministry, and i would be traveling to South America, Brazil and Argentina to be exact. I believe there is a calling on my life, and i am ready for God to use me in whatever way he needs me. All you staff memebers at FRC are awesome and again i love being a part of it. I just had this on my heart and no one to call or talk to at the moment, so blog it right?? right! thank you peoples.

This was a busy weekend.I spent alot of needed time with my family this weekend. I am always so busy and dont really have time, but this weekend was different.

Church was also pretty awesome. Pastor Troy preached a very engaging message. The worship was also amazing. Also because I wasnt there for practice on Saturday. So basically i came to church not knowing what to expect on Sunday. Well it was really good.Worship Team was awesome, and also me being a lighting guy LOVED IT!!it was awesome...heres a lil vid from PULSE. Like i always say i wish i had a better camera because this is awesome footage that we can get and use!

I just finished listening to the new COLDPLAY album that isnt released in the US yet, but is released in UK and Japan I think. It is so awesome,its one of those albums that you can listen to without skipping through the tracks. Its all good and i love it. I cant wait to get my hands on a copy of the album!!!

Well this was a crazy weekend. From Thursday I was helping my old church with the audio for one of their productions.Friday was the production. Saturday I was at FRC running the lighting board for the 2 evening services. Sunday was at FRC bright and early at 7am to run the lighting board for the 3 monring services. Yoel was only there for the first service on Sunday, because he helped with the set-up for the concert on Sunday evening at the beach. So I ran it by myself for 3 services on Sunday. I think I did pretty well. I didnt make any mistakes, and it ran pretty smoothly. Pastor Garland preached a very insightful message also.

After PULSE Ariel and I ran down to the beach to help them down their with the first ever beach baptism/concert. It was pretty good. Great turn out as we celebrated the life changing decision people made to be baptized.I helped break down all the equipment and clean up after the concert. So by that time I was sooo worn out. After a very long deep sleep I feel somewhat normal again. lol

Turn a Positive to a Negative

Today I had to deal with a situation that wasnt good. In fact I was getting very stressed out. Then I prayed that God will see me through and help me. Well about 15 minutes later I got some more bad news, And then all of a sudden out of that bad news came out an awesome outcome that I would have never expected. I was expecting just good, but I got great. So if something is going wrong in your life just trust GOD. He wont let you down I promise.

Also this Thursday and Friday I help my old church with the sound. It was kinda weird because I was at that church for alot of years, and doing it again brought back memories of when I used to go to church and school there. But I am glad to be at FRC.

Thats all i have to say lol.

What a day today!!! It seems like everyone was on edge. Also my pool got really really green. It looked like an alligator or croc or something like that can pop out of it. So today I took care of the pool. Its now blue again. Thank God because my dad is comming back soon and i dont know exactly what day that is going to be. Other than that, for some reason today i felt kinda weird. I felt kinda down. BLAH...I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Well this weekend was a good one. Tech wise it was pretty crazy.Especially on Saturday night. Craziest I have seen yet. Alot of things changed when it came to the order, but I believe it was for the better. Pastor Troy preached an amazing sermon this weekend. Even though it was video, it was well worth it. Also some funny moments this weekend helped us deal with the hectic order. Oh and that hazer have on demo is awesome.On the PULSE service we cranked it up and it was soooo awesome. I was honored when I was asked to be apart of another team at FRC this weekend which made me super excited. I love being apart of what FRC is about and what they stand for, for what WE stand for.
